Christian Couple Caleb + Kelsey Sing 'You Are My Sunshine'

Talented Christian couple Caleb and Kelsey Grimm perform a beautiful rendition of ‘You Are My Sunshine.’ This sweet song is a favorite lullaby for many parents and the words speak to the love we have for our children. “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine You make me happy when skies are gray You'll never know dear, how much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away” Today, Caleb + Kelsey are lending their voices to the beautiful song and it’s absolutely amazing. As parents to two boys, this couple knows all about the love we have for our children. Caleb and Kelsey are the perfect duo to sing ‘You Are My Sunshine.’ They always have a way of selecting the right songs to showcase their talented vocals and this performance is no different. There’s something about the backdrop of a nursery with the beautiful blending of their voices that truly makes this a powerful lullaby. This will certainly be a memory that their children cherish for a lifetime. You can find this song and other favorites on Caleb and Kelsey’s latest album, ‘Sing Over Me: Songs For Parents And Their Little Ones.’ Psalm 127: 3-5 “3 Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. 4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. 5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.”

'Can You Feel The Love Tonight?' Pentatonix Official Video

Pentatonix delivers another unforgettable performance with their a cappella rendition of ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’ from ‘The Lion King.’ This talented group formed in 2011, but they really shot to fame after winning the third season of the television show ‘The Sing Off.’ Since that time, Pentatonix has become a household name with viral performances such as ‘Mary Did You Know’ and ‘Hallelujah.’ Today, they are lending their voices to this classic Disney song and it’s absolutely incredible. Just listen as they belt out the lyrics that we all know and love. “And can you feel the love tonight? It is where we are It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer that we got this far And can you feel the love tonight? How it's laid to rest It's enough to make kings and vagabonds believe the very best” This special song was first featured in the 1994 animated Disney film ‘The Lion King.’ Critically acclaimed singer and songwriter Elton John composed this tune just for the movie. It went on to win a Grammy and an Academy award. Now, this classic song is getting new life with the live action remake of the film. This Disney favorite is a special song for so many people around the world and now it will touch an entirely new generation. This Disney song is one of those classics that will go down in history and I am so glad that it’s getting the a cappella treatment from Pentatonix. Who else is singing along with these words?

Trader Joe's Staff Dance To Calm Down Crying Toddler

A heartwarming moment was captured on camera when staff members at a Florida Trader Joe’s store helped a mom calm a crying toddler. All parents know that shopping with children can be a challenge. Between juggling their needs and your shopping list, everyone breathes a sigh of relief once they finally reach the checkout. But just as Alexandra Seba thought her grocery trip was over, the terrifying toddler meltdown occurred. We’ve all experienced or witnessed at least one of these breakdowns before. While this is a normal part of childhood, it always puts stress on the parent, especially when they’re out in public. That’s why the sweet reaction from these Trader Joe’s employees is going viral. Mom Alexandra told Motherly, "My baby Julian was having a tantrum because he wanted to push the big kid shopping cart. Tori (Trader Joe's employee) started singing and a couple other workers chimed in to calm down Julian. Moms NEED to shop somewhere where the staff is kind to their kids and engages them, from giving them animal crackers to helping moms when their baby throws a full blown tantrum." This video clip shows the workers surrounding Julian while they sing and dance. The baby is so entranced by the energetic employees that he immediately stops crying. As parents and grandparents, we can all appreciate the kindness and empathy displayed by these Trader Joe’s employees. It just goes to show that you never know how your simple actions can greatly effect someone else’s day.

Former Homeless Man D Minor Brings Judges To Tears With Original Song

Rapper D Minor, a former homeless man, moves the judges to tears with his emotional performance on Australia’s Got Talent. Before his audition, the 24-year-old performer shared with the crowd that he lived on the streets when he was eleven and twelve. He faced many struggles, but a charity organization helped turn his life around. Now, D Minor is following his dreams and he’s made it all the way to the big stage. Today, he’s performing an original song called ‘Concrete Pillow.’ “I know it’s hard to see the future and imagine it’s bright I have dimmed my lights down I keep crashing at night With every foster home I’m roster in I’m highly distorted And the pain ain’t going nowhere I don’t try to avoid it” These emotional lyrics speak of D Minor’s time as a homeless teen. As he belted out each word, tears started to form in everyone’s eyes all throughout the theaters. “So build me up And take me home I’ll leave behind this concrete pillow It's a concrete pillow It's a concrete pillow Lost and lonely and I'm just a shadow” After his performance, D Minor earned a standing ovation. Judge Nicole Scherzinger said, “I love Australia’s Got Talent because it gives a platform and a stage for people like you, who came from the streets. And now, everyone in the whole world and all of Australia gets to hear your voice and your message and how powerful it is.” After four ‘yes’ votes, D Minor will move on to the next round of competition and continue to bring awareness to this heartbreaking issue.

Teacher Surprises Homeless Teen With A Place Of His Own

One teacher went above and beyond when she surprised a homeless man with a place of his own! Needing a support system, this teacher and the surrounding community came together to help out this man when he was down on his luck. Amonte Green is a former student of Kate Demory, and he has kept in touch with her even after he left school. After getting mixed up in some trouble, Green had to spend a month in jail. Since his mom had died when he was in high school, he had no home to go back to when he was released. At just 20 years old, the young man found himself homeless with no place to go. “I have always been the type of person to try and figure out things by myself, I never ask for help,” said Amonte. “But when it comes down to it, to being an adult…I finally realized that I can’t do it by myself.” That’s when he reached out to his former teacher, Mrs. Demory. She recalls the night when he called her, knowing that she had to help him out in some way. “That night when he called me, we were celebrating my daughter’s 12th birthday. And it was pretty late, it was 8:30,” Kate says. “He had spent most of the day trying to find someone to help him. I knew if he was calling me, he probably really needed the help.” After their phone call, Kate went to help Amonte gather his belongings. Realizing that the young man was in need of a stable environment, she brought him home to stay with her family. Kate started a GoFundMe account for Amonte, and the community came through for him. People donated money to help him get on his feet, and he was even offered a landscaping job! After 2 weeks of living with the Demory family, a space opened up for Amonte to move into at the beginning of August. While he was at work one afternoon, Kate brought volunteers together and they used some of the money that was donated to the GoFundMe account to furnish his new place. When he came back from work that day, he was so surprised to find that he was no longer homeless and had a place to call his own! ““I had no idea that things would move this quickly,” says Green. “I’m very thankful that there’s people in the community that care. They don’t even know me, but they care. It showed me that there’s good people out there that really love to help.” Now, Amonte is able to support himself and is working on getting his high school equivalency diploma. He even started The Green House, a charity created to help other at-risk young adults. Since Amonte was generously given help when he needed it most, he wants to do his part to be able to help out others who may be in a similar situation. What a beautiful way to give back!

Blind Soul Singer Robert Finley Performs Original Song 'Starting to See'

Inspiring blind veteran Robert Finley returns to the America’s Got Talent Stage with an original song titled ‘Starting To See.’ The world was in awe after Robert’s first audition on the big stage. He performed with an upbeat original tune and shared with the crowd that his love of music started at a very young age. When he was 19, Robert served in the Vietnam War. After returning home, he started a family and worked as a carpenter to support them. But throughout the years, he never lost his passion for music. About four years ago, while getting an eye exam, Robert discovered that he had glaucoma. Now, he is almost completely blind in both eyes but that’s not stopping him from following his dream. His latest original song, ‘Starting To See,’ is all about realizing the blessings that are all around you. “I may not ever see your face But I can feel the love In this place Finally starting to see What the Lord has given to me I'm finally to see What the Lord has been given to me Thank you lord” These lyrics are so powerful and there’s no doubt that the Lord is guiding Robert on his journey. “This time I know I got it right I'm goin' by faith, and not by sight But I'm beginning to see the light And deep down inside it feels alright” Robert has certainly made a name for himself on America’s Got Talent and I have a feeling we’ll be seeing this name for a long time.

'You Say' Violin Cover From AGT Contestant Tyler Butler-Figueroa

11-year-old violinist Tyler Butler-Figueroa performs a chilling rendition of Lauren Daigle’s ‘You Say.’ We first met this talented young man when he auditioned for America’s Got Talent. The whole world melted when they heard his touching backstory and watched his incredible performance. Tyler started to play the violin at age 7, after nearly losing his life to cancer. His treatments caused him to lose his hair and he immediately became a target for bullies. But music, and the violin, gave Tyler an outlet and he started to come out of his shell. His performance of ‘Stronger’ from Kelly Clarkson led judge Simon Cowell to press the golden buzzer. What some people may not know is that Tyler is a Christian. He has performed many gospel covers, but this performance might be my absolute favorite. “I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I'm not enough Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low Remind me once again just who I am because I need to know” ‘You Say’ garnered worldwide attention and singer Lauren Daigle even won a 2019 Grammy Award for the powerful song. The poignant lyrics serve as a reminder that when we feel small, God can lift us to greater heights. What a blessing to see this young man use his talents to give glory to the Lord. What a true inspiration and role model for so many around the world.

13-Year-Old Bold Singer Charlotte Summers Performs 'Diamonds Are Forever'

Talented 13-year-old Charlotte Summers returns to the quarterfinals of America’s Got Talent with an impressive performance of ‘Diamonds Are Forever.’ We first met this powerhouse vocalist when she auditioned with the classic song ‘I Put A Spell On You.’ That’s when we learned that Charlotte has been performing since she was just five years old. And now, the Spanish singer is living out one of her biggest dreams by stepping onto the AGT stage. You might remember that she earned a standing ovation from the judges and crowd during her first performance. Charlotte easily moved on to the next round. She sailed through the judge’s cuts, but as the competition winds down, this teen pulled out all the stops. Just listen as she belts out the words to ‘Diamonds Are Forever’ from Shirley Bassey. “I don't need love, for what good will love do me? Diamonds never lie to me For when love's gone, they'll lustre on Diamonds are forever, forever, forever” This famous song was featured on the soundtrack to the James Bond movie of the same name. Charlotte’s big voice lends itself perfectly to classic songs, such as this one. The field of America’s Got Talent contenders was tough this round. Even though the 13-year-old was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the competition, her performance is certainly going to be remembered. I have no doubt that we will be seeing a lot more of Charlotte Summers in the future. What was your favorite performance from this teen talent?

Police Officer's Final Radio Call Includes Footloose Performance

This officer decided to add a little fun to his final radio call and it’s got everyone smiling. Officer Cory Barrows has been with the Decatur Police Department for 30 years. After an incredible career, the time has come for Officer Barrows to retire. When a police officer ends their shift, they are required to radio in to dispatch the time and their status. When someone retires, they make one final radio call and it is almost always an emotional moment. Officer Barrows decided to make this a happy occasion full of laughter and joy. Just watch as he sits in his police cruiser and radios in for the last time. When the dispatcher thanks him for his many years of service, this police officer busts out into some talented dance moves. As the song ‘Footloose’ plays in the background, Officer Barrows jumps out of the car and starts to cut loose. I definitely was not expecting to see anything quite this energetic during the officer’s final radio call. I am sure this brought a smile to so many faces around the department. With a sense of humor like this, I can tell that Officer Barrows was a great co-worker that will surely be missed by many. It is never easy to move on, but Officer Barrows can rest easy knowing that he did a job well done. We all thank you for your service over the years and hope you enjoy your retirement as much as we enjoyed this video!
