Everyone likes to get something for free. Human nature doesn't lend itself to giving freely, although God commands it. Find out what really is free and how you can use it to share the Gospel.
Fellowship is living life together as a church full of best friends and the Greek word means strong partnership, close social union, deep communication, and common sharing. It only works when it is driven by God’s love deep inside you, no political or antichrist social order forced upon men will ever duplicate this powerful life.
So when you personally take these commands seriously, obey them joyfully, and freely give yourself to your church you will begin to really experience the Kingdom of God here on earth!
So remember what Jesus expects of you. “This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.” If you claim to be a friend of Jesus then you must do something about your relationships with the local church.

We're still talking about becoming spiritually mature, becoming a "perfect man" as James says. Here's another Old Testament verse that sheds light on how to do this ...
After your conversion to the Lord Jesus Christ, God's will is to transform your personality or character from a selfishly motivated individual into a loving Christ-like disciple of Jesus Christ. All good or righteous character is God's nature. So, the Holy Spirit now indwelling you must gradually empower you through grace with an inward strength that permanently changes your character.
Romans 12:1-3 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. [3] For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

2 John 1:9-10 NKJV Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. [10] If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him;
If you drift through the modern American churches it will not take long to hear the echo of "...doctrine is not important, it just divides the church. Let's unite and show God's love!" This new tolerance message proclaims all brothers are equal before God anyway, and it is pride that demands one group or denomination is right, condemning the others. Well, John makes it Biblical, true doctrine is supposed to divide [verse 10]!

How Many Doors? Around 57% of self-described evangelicals believe that many religions lead to heaven. But is that what God says?
Jesus was not a prophet only, but God. He proclaimed, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but by me." John 14:6
Let no one deceive you, the narrow door and way to heaven offered by God to all people, in all places, through all cultures, in all time is the narrow door and road that Jesus Christ has offered. This is straight talk for narrow road followers of Jesus.

Last week we started talking more about spiritual maturity in light of my upcoming book, Beyond Belief: Jesus Saved You, Now What? James said that it any man can control his tongue, he is a perfect man. Let's learn the first step to doing just that.
There is no need for unnecessary rules and regulations for the heart that is governed by Christ Jesus. God gives one the desire and power to do what pleases Him.
Praise and thanksgiving to God do more than make us feel good.
