Matteo Bocelli Sings Acoustic 'Can You Feel Love Tonight' From The Lion King

Matteo Bocelli, son of Andrea Bocelli, performs a stunning acoustic rendition of ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight?’ This special song was first featured in the 1994 animated Disney film ‘The Lion King.’ World-renowned artist Elton John composed the tune that went on to win both an Academy and Grammy Award. And when you hear these words, you will truly be transported to a whole new time and place. “Can you feel the love tonight? The peace the evening brings The world, for once, in perfect harmony With all its living things” 22-year-old Matteo rose to prominence in 2018 when he sang a duet with his father, legendary opera voice Andrea Bocelli. The two performed ‘Fall On Me’ and the song garnered over 75 million views across social media. Now, he’s performing all on his own and it’s absolutely incredible. Today, Matteo is taking on the Walt Disney classic ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight?’ Just listen as he sits at the piano and shares this special acoustic performance. “And can you feel the love tonight? It is where we are It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer that we got this far And can you feel the love tonight? How it's laid to rest It's enough to make kings and vagabonds believe the very best” From the piano to the vocals, this song is absolute perfection from beginning to end. Matteo is certainly a talented young man and there is no doubt that we will be seeing more from him in the future.

Quick-Thinking Inmates Help Deputy During Medical Emergency

Thanks to some quick-thinking inmates, one deputy was helped during a medical emergency. Before Deputy Warren Hobbs had a full-on cardiac emergency, inmates noticed that something was wrong with him while he was escorting them to their cells. “He was breathing heavily. He wasn’t moving the way he normally moves. And their biggest indicator was that they say he took off his hat,” explained Deputy Shannon Vokodav. “Deputy cops always wear a hat. And he took his hat off. He was really sweating, and he was fanning himself with his hat. So, the inmates already had an idea that Deputy Hobbs wasn’t feeling well.” Then one of the inmates in a downstairs cell saw the deputy lose consciousness. “He was the only one who could see what was happening to Deputy Hobbs initially. He saw Deputy Hobbs at the desk, and he saw him fall and hit the floor,” shares Deputy Vokodav. “So, he was banging on his door. He was the one who really sounded the alarm. Eventually the whole unit was banging on their doors. They were all banging, calling the deputy’s name repeatedly. And Deputy Hobbs later told me that he didn’t realize that he had passed out. He had no idea he had suffered an emergency.” After the inmates kept calling out to Deputy Hobbs, he was able to wake up to a point where he was semi-conscious. That’s when he looked up and saw the inmates in cell 617 looking down at him. He pushed the button to pop their door open and the inmates rushed to his aid. “We didn’t do anything for Deputy Hobbs that he would not have done for us. There’s not a doubt in my mind,” said Terry Loveless, one of the inmates who called for medical help once he got down to Deputy Hobbs. “He’s a wonderful man, a good officer, and we’re thankful for him. And we can’t wait for him to get back to work.” What a beautiful story that shows such compassion and kindness. “It also was a great reminder that it’s not the uniform that makes the hero, it’s the person wearing the uniform,” says Deputy Vokodav. “These three inmates have very beautifully illustrated that anyone can be a hero, and we’re deeply appreciative of that.”

Adopted Boy Sets Out to Save Old Homeless Dogs That Nobody Wants

In this heartwarming story, one adopted boy sets out to save old homeless dogs at his local shelter that nobody wants. Robbie Gay is a 9-year-old boy from Palm Coast, Florida. And his favorite type of dogs at the humane society in his town are the oldest ones, the ones that seem to be the least adoptable. He sees himself in these dogs because he spent years in the foster care system before getting adopted. "He knows what it feels like not to be loved and cared for,” says Robbie's adoptive mom, Maria. “He's the most hopeful, optimistic, and genuinely caring kid who has absolutely no reason to be that way." Two years ago, Robbie was adopted by Maria and her husband Charles. He also gained an older dog named Buffy, but recently the dog had to be put down. Robbie insisted on holding Buffy until the very end. And after he let his beloved dog go, he told his mom, “I know how it feels not to be loved or cared for and I don't want any animal of mine to feel that way." "People don't want older people and older dogs. They only want babies and puppies," Robbie shares. And he wants to do what he can to make those older dogs at his local humane society feel loved. "He is so aware that it could have gone totally differently for him,” says Maria. “And in these older dogs Robbie has found a place to practice compassion." Robbie says that he wants to adopt older foster children when he is an adult. But right now, he vows to adopt as many old dogs as his parents allow him to. So far, the family has adopted six! Robbie also started volunteering at his local humane society and has become such a loving advocate for the older dogs there. God bless this kind and compassionate young boy!

As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness.”

2 Beluga Whales Get Rescued And You Can See just How Much It Means To Them

Most people wonder if animals have feelings and if they do, can they express what they feel the same way? Look no further than the big, toothy smiles on these whales, Little White and Little Gray. Their smiles are proof! Especially since they seemed to know they were being freed from their former lives in captivity. The stunning pair of beluga whales have returned to outdoor life after a 6,000 miles arduous trek back to the wild. The journey also included a ride on a Boeing 747 400ERF aircraft and harbor tugboat before being lowered into an outdoor tank that is connected to their forever home—the ocean. The animals instinctively knew they were being helped and seemed to know they were returning to their roots despite all the different ways they had traveled so far. “The process was getting the belugas into a stretcher, out of their care pool, onto the back of a truck, two minutes to the tugboat, and the local tugboat here, onto the back of the tugboat, and then a five-minute journey out here,” Andy Bool, head of Sea Life Trust, said. The moving of the whales into the first open water sanctuary was completed on Friday, August 7th. Here, they will acclimate to sea life before being released into a 32,000 square mile sanctuary off the coast of Iceland. Captured when they were mere babies, they spent their lives performing tricks for treats in an aquarium in Shanghai for more than a decade. Rob Lott, Whale Dolphin Conservation Campaigner said, “Little White and Little Grey were taken from the wild when they were very young so Friday was a big day for them (and all of us) as they got to experience the ocean for the first time in their adult lives." As the pair were lowered into the water, they were excited by the smell of the salt in the air and the water below. Their fins waved, their tales whipped, and they dived deep into the waters as their rescuers breathed a sigh of relief, said a little prayer, and gathered for a large group hug. “It’s kind of the finish line for these two, but it’s a new chapter for belugas around the world,” explained Audrey Padgett, Sea Life Trust’s general manager. What an inspiring story of restoring God’s creation! Thank God for people who have a passion for our cetacean friends. “So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good,” Genesis 1:21. Source: The Animal Club

Man Shares Forgiveness Story After Accidentally Causing His Wife's Death

Have you ever done or said something that you wish you could instantly undo? Imagine that, but the outcome is never having a relationship with that person ever again. Nathan Wilding experienced such a tragedy. This man shares his forgiveness story after accidentally causing his wife’s death. In life we say and do things sometimes that we don’t mean. We’re human. Most of us are fortunate enough to not experience the sadness the befell Nathan. His genuine mistake led to the loss of a relationship that claimed the life of his wife and almost his own. His story teaches us about an important message, the same words on the ring his in-law gave him. “No Regrets.” Despite the past tragedy, he is now able to mourn without hating himself for what happened. Imagine the trauma he faced and continues to battle. His wife passed, he suffered physical and emotional injury. This happened because of his decision. Nathan said that in the accident he “shattered [his] femur, broke both arms, and wrists.” And his frontal lobe was injured. He even went into a coma. In the end he had to learn to talk, write, and read all over again. When his family took him to cemetary, Nathan saw for the first time that his wife had died in the accident. That moment told him how precious life is, that every moment matters. Despite the hardship he became a better person all because of the mantra, “No Regrets.” With his new and supportive wife, Amanda, and his children, Nathan has become equipped with “a whole new reason to live.” The reason why Nathan can live without regrets is his understanding of forgiveness. Forgiveness has allowed him to accept what transpired, while moving on without beating himself down. While Nathan can’t reconcile with his first wife, Brenda, he can reconcile with himself. He can make peace with himself and see life from a more positive outlook. Think about your own life. Is there someone you need to forgive or something you should apologize for? God forgives those who forgive. Remember that life is valuable and time is a resource we never get back. Let’s make the most of what we have now. “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven will also forgive you your wrongdoing.” Mark 11:25

Story Of Arrogant CEO Reminds Us To Be Kind To Everyone

Confidence can be a very admirable trait. However, there is a big difference between confidence and arrogance. “What makes the difference?” you ask. One word. Humility. To be humble is to put others first, but arrogance puts you first. This modern day parable of an arrogant CEO reminds us to be kind to everyone. The chief executive officer is curt with his wife on the phone. Notice how he tells her not to make him angry? He speaks from a place of entitlement, uncaring of how his tone is making her feel. Then he immediately shows anger to the patron in the gym. “Hey, buddy. Gym’s closed. Okay?” And if that wasn’t bad enough, the janitor tries to warn him about the wet floor before he slips. In turn, the CEO fires the janitor. Where’s the gratitude? “You’re fired.” His words are devoid of any sympathy. How many of us have had bosses, teachers, or even parents who thought of themselves as better than we are? They spoke down to us, giving commands rather than suggestions. And they didn’t want to hear feedback from us either. In their minds, they already knew more. What could we possibly have to teach them? These people do not exhibit love and warmth at all. Just the opposite. And in some circumstances they use their power to push us further beneath them. But there is hope. Here are two scripture verses I would like to share. “You planned evil against me; God planned it for good to bring about the present result—the survival of many people.” Genesis 50:20 “For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” Luke 14:11 Even in our lowest moments, God can turn our situations around and make us greater than we were before, even greater than those who persecute us. People who fall into arrogance seek to advance themselves before others. Yet, God promises his followers the opposite, the people who put others first, He will exalt. In the video, God exalted the janitor. A seemingly hopeless situation of being fired was turned into an opportunity to run his own business. The man didn’t know the coronavirus epidemic was going to happen, but God did. God set the janitor up as CEO of his own company. What’s more, the man did not look down on his former boss later in life. Instead he gave a hefty tip of $100 for the service. That’s kindness. May we seek to model this same behavior in our own lives. Next time the storm seems too heavy to bear, I want you to remember, God is able, and He cares. Your kindness to others will pay off in the end. Don’t give into anger or despair. Give into prayer.
