Security footage captures a terrifying sight as one father jumps into the pool to save his toddler son.
As summer approaches, children and their families will flock to pools and other areas of water for fun and recreation. While swimming pools are a great place to cool down during the hot summer months, they can also be a place of great danger.
Drowning is the number one cause of death for children age 1 to 4. Many times, parents or caregivers are close to a child when the incident occurs. Even when we are at our own pools or another private residence, the dangers of the water are still present.
This chilling video clip shows how quickly things can change from completely safe to panic. While friends are playing in the pool, Albert Passavanti sat on a nearby chair.
That is when his 1-year-old son, Rocco, spotted his ball in the pool. He walked over to it and attempted to reach out for the toy. In a split second Rocco had fallen into the pool and was unable to swim.
Even though there were people in the pool, no one reacted as fast Albert. He leaped right over the pool fence and dived in to save his toddler.
Thankfully, Rocco was not hurt but it taught this father a few valuable lessons. Albert now knows to always lock to the pool gate and told WPTV-TV that he “can’t stress enough, nothing is as effective as watching your kids very closely.”

A beautiful act of kindness was captured on camera when one stranger pays for the an elderly man’s meal.
Recently, David Love was visiting McDonald’s for his morning coffee with his wife.
While at the counter, he noticed the man beside him was rummaging through his pockets for change to pay the cashier. It started to become apparent that the elderly man did not have enough money for his meal.
That is when David stepped in and offered to pay. “There’s still some nice people around,” the elderly man said to the cashier. But David’s kindness didn’t stop there.
Before the man could leave, David gave him $20 to put in his pocket. Unbeknownst to David, his wife was filming the entire encounter.
When he approached, she asked what just happened. “I’m helping the old fella out. He’s down on his last 20 bucks. I paid for his meal and I gave him $20.”
David never hesitated to stop and help out someone in need. In fact, after receiving praise from his wife, he simply said, “It is what it is, honey. It’s life.”
David even made sure to tell the man goodbye before he left the fast-food chain. The elderly man will forever remember this simple act of kindness.
Sometimes, it just takes a moment of our time to truly effect someone else’s day. Let us use this story as an inspiration to spread a little more kindness into the world.

Chick-Fil-A restaurants are known for their impeccable service and variety of delicious foods. You always know when you walk through the doors that you are going to be served a great meal with a side of kindness.
Whether it’s inside the restaurant or going through the drive thru, Chick-Fil-A employees are always there to greet you with a smile and positive attitude. But Logan Simmons, a worker at an Atlanta Chick-Fil-A, recently went above and beyond the call of duty.
He was working the drive thru lane when he noticed a toddler struggling in the backseat of a car. The 6-year-old’s neck was tangled around the seatbelt and he was starting to choke. As the mother cried for help, Logan jumped right out of the drive thru window and into the car.
He pulled out a pocketknife and cut the seatbelt to free the scared boy. Logan told USA Today, "I'm just so thankful everyone is okay. As soon as I realized what was going on, all I could think about was getting to the car as quickly as possible, so I jumped through the window. I'm still a little shocked by what happened but am grateful I was able to help."
After the incident, the mother called Logan to express her sincere thanks in saving her son’s life. Logan’s quick thinking prevented a tragedy from occurring and now everyone is calling this young man a hero. And that’s what I call him too!

This father-daughter duet of the Elvis Presley classic ‘Where No One Stands Alone’ was captured on camera and it’s absolutely heartwarming.
Angie Sutherland absolutely adores her father, Edgar Napier. But sadly, her daddy is battling stage 4 cancer. Despite the pain and sadness, Angie and her dad still make sure to keep one special tradition alive. They both go out on the porch rocking chairs and sing together.
Today, they are coming together for a beautiful duet of ‘Where No One Stands Alone.’
“Once I stood in the night
With my head bowed low
In the darkness as black as could be
And my heart felt alone and I cried oh Lord
Don't hide your face from me”
When times start to seem dark, it’s comforting to know that you can always lean on God. He will see us through any storm and He walks with us each step of the way.
That’s exactly what these lyrics remind us of. Just listen as Angie and Edgar sit on the porch and belt out the these powerful words.

Psalm 144:9 says to praise Him with a 10 string instrument, so I bought a 10 string harp long ago to play a few notes before morning devotions...I have NO music training whatsoever, I think I'm tone deaf, only kid not allowed to sing in chorus in my whole elementary school when I was young, but I wanted to praise Him and this song came to me. I'm thinking this is way too simple, notes lining up to the words? That's not how it's done, right?...But it expresses my heart. God is amazing, so grateful to Him!
"I will sing a new song to You, O God, on a harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You, the One who gives rescue to kings, Who delivers David His servant from the deadly sword..." (Psalm 144:9) So lame as I am, this is my new song, so grateful to Him!

These talented, young dancers that are dancing to Lauren Daigle’s ‘You Say’ will bring a smile to your face. The beautiful, contemporary choreography really shows off the students’ skills as well as the powerful words of the song.
“The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me
In You I find my worth, in You I find my identity,
You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh You say that I am Yours
And I believe, oh I believe
What You say of me
Oh, I believe”
When interviewed about the story behind the song, Lauren Daigle had some great words to share about identity and why this song is so important to her.
“I think a lot of times we build these complexes based on insecurity, based on fear, based on rejection, and lies that we have to constantly overcome. And so, this song for me was just a reminder of identity. It was a reminder that I know when I’m weak, He’s strong,” Lauren says. “When I feel inadequate, how is it that there’s always these moments where I feel like God just steps in and supersedes my inadequacies. This entire song was so every single day I would get up on stage and remind myself—no, this is the truth, this is the truth, this is the truth. Don’t get buried in confusion. Don’t get buried in waywardness. Just remember to steady the course, steady the course."
The moves that these dancers are doing match so beautifully with the truth that Lauren Daigle is singing in ‘You Say.’ And they make the difficult moves look so effortless! Each dancer performs the choreography with their own energy and style, but they are all stunning in their own way. What an amazing video to remind us of the beauty of dance and God’s truth!

The Ndlovu Youth Choir bring their unique sound to the America’s Got Talent stage with an emotional audition.
Started in 2009, the choir is a creative outlet for kids in South Africa. Led by artistic director Ralf Schmitt, this talented group has gained a following all over the world.
On their Facebook, it states that “the choir seeks to deliver an experience of infectious joy, a toe-tapping and energetic South African music ranging from Afro-Pop classics to traditional South African music and original compositions irresistibly combined with mesmerizing choreography.”
With their special style of sound, this choir is providing hope to it’s member. Director Ralf said, “When they join us, many of our kids have the weight of the world on their shoulders and, to them, their problems feel insurmountable.”
Now, the group has traveled all the way to the United States for their chance at stardom. “For us, it’s not easy to dream, so I didn’t like to smile. But after joining the choir, I found my voice and it brought back the smile on my face.”
The choir easily impressed the judges with their energetic performance of an original song, ‘My African Dream.’ The blend of vocal talent with dance truly makes this an audition to remember. But it was the symbolism of the moment that brought Ralf to tears.
“They come from one of the poorest communities in the world, yet these kids managed to lift themselves up. To see them standing on the stage of America’s Got Talent tonight, you can’t help but just burst with pride.” The Ndlovu Youth Choir is definitely an act to keep your eye on.
27-year-old Lamont Landers takes advantage of a second chance to wow the judges on America’s Got Talent.
This Huntsville, Alabama native grew up with a love of music. He was in second grade when he received his first guitar. But after his parent’s divorce, the break up took a toll. He looked to music for a source of comfort. “Having the guitar as an outlet was the perfect thing for me.”
For years, Lamont has been working full-time as a musician but he’s ready to take his career to the next level. Now, he’s stepping onto the America’s Got Talent stage for his big shot.
He came out confident and started to sing "Let's Stay Together" by Al Green. Shortly into the song, Simon stopped the young singer. Lamont prepared Marvin Gaye's ‘What's Going On’ as a backup song but Simon also called that tune too safe. “Your problem is that you do not take risks.”
That’s when judge Simon Cowell offered Lamont the chance to learn a completely new song and come back to audition later. After a few tense moments between the two, Lamont decided to take Simon up on his advice.
In under thirty minutes, the young singer learned a brand new song in hopes of impressing the judges. Full of nerves, Lamont performed a cover of Robyn's ‘Dancing On My Own.’
He earned a standing ovation from the judges as his smooth vocals truly shined through. Simon commented on the encore performance, “Sometimes, someone gives you a little bit of advice and it opens the door. I think the doors just opened here for you.”
I’m excited to see what this new path looks like for Lamont on America’s Got Talent.
