2CELLOS Performs A Live Rendition Of 'Thunderstruck'

The talented duo of 2CELLOS performs a cover of the iconic rock song, ‘Thunderstruck.’ This popular tune was released by AC/DC in 1990. Decades later, this single has truly stood the test of time and become a hard rock classic. Today, ‘Thunderstruck’ is getting a cello makeover and it’s absolutely incredible. 2CELLOS is a Croatian cellist pair made up of Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser. These two have performed all over the world with their incredible blend of original and cover songs. They formed in 2011 and became a household name when their YouTube covers started to go viral. Both men are classically trained but they also incorporate rock elements into their numbers. In 2015, 2CELLOS released a cover of ‘Thunderstruck’ on their album, ‘Celloverse.’ Once the music video was released, it immediately went viral. In fact, the YouTube video has over 140 millions now. At a recent concert, the duo performed a live rendition of their smash hit and it’s so incredible to watch. There is so much talent and skill in every single movement. And, somehow, they can create a rock vibe with just the use of their cellos. I think their unique sound is the perfect compliment to this classic song. It gives ‘Thunderstruck’ an entirely new feel while still retaining the best elements that we all know and love. The duo has certainly proved that they are a band like no other and I’m definitely looking forward to what they do next. What did you think of this cello makeover?

4 Young Men Save A Stranger's Life When He Falls To The Ground

It was just another day out on the basketball court until four young men became heroes and saved a stranger’s life. After they watched him fall to the ground, they quickly stepped into action until the paramedics could arrive. Mark, Ricardo, Kei’Shon, and Keijuan are from Virginia. This group of friends can usually be found playing pickup basketball behind their local middle school. One day, while they were playing, a father and son joined them on the court. This was when their average day took a turn. The father collapsed on the ground and the young men knew that they needed to step in with some help. At first, the guys thought that the father was just tired. “About two minutes later, he was still on the ground,” says Mark. “Then his son was just looking at us.” Kei’Shon and Mark quickly went to the father to pick him up and see if he was breathing. Unfortunately, he was not responding. “We tried to get the son away because he started crying. We didn’t want him to see his dad laid out,” explains Mark. “So, we got the boy in the car and I drove him to his mother’s house.” While Mark was comforting the son and going to get his mother, Kei’Shon performed CPR on the father. He gives all the glory to God as to how he was able to help out during this emergency. “I guess, you just give it all to God,” he says. “I guess He put my hands in the right spot.” Once Mark arrived back to the scene with the son and his mother, all four of the young men made it a point to help keep the two of them calm while the paramedics showed up. The effort that these friends put in to help save this man’s life was such a blessing to that family! Thank God that they were on that basketball court when that man suffered a cardiac arrest. They helped save his life and truly became heroes that day.

11-year-old Ripley completely stuns the judges on Holland’s Got Talent with his opera audition. When he first approached the stage, Ripley seemed a little shy. But as soon as the music started and he started to sing, the entire theater was in awe. This young boy is a talented opera singer and his voice caught everyone off guard. The judges sat up taller and many members of the audience covered their mouths in surprise. Ripley first started to sing opera when he was just four years old. Now, he’s hoping that his big voice is going to land him a spot on Holland’s Got Talent. This competition features talent from all different areas of entertainment. Ripley is young than most of the other contestants but he is certainly holding his own. I’m so impressed with the confidence and skill that he uses during his performance. His voice never waivered and he hit every single note perfectly. Ripley easily earned a standing ovation from the judges with that melodious voice. Now, he’s moving on to the next round and we’ll be able to hear this incredible voice again. Dad Registers For Boston Marathon To Honor Late Sandy Hook Parent

With less than two weeks to train and fundraise, one father signs up for the Boston Marathon to honor a Sandy Hook parent and his daughter that was killed in the 2012 shooting. Dan Friedman decided last minute to participate in the Boston Marathon this year and will be running for the Avielle Foundation. The Avielle Foundation is a non-profit organization that focuses on preventing violence and building compassion through neuroscience research. The CEO of the Avielle Foundation was Jeremy Richman, and the foundation was named after his 6-year-old daughter. Avielle was one of those precious children whose lives were taken too soon during the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting. Jeremy, who died just a few weeks ago, made it his mission in life to carry on his daughter’s legacy and share compassion with those who have been through unimaginable pain. In one interview, Jeremy had said that “compassion is the ability to feel somebody else’s suffering.” Dan Friedman’s father, Rob Friedman, is in charge of sponsorship and marketing for the Boston Marathon. He was touched to hear about Jeremy’s mission and the work of the Avielle Foundation. “What happened to Jeremey was just unspeakable and it was important for me to support him,” said Rob. That’s when he contacted his son to see if he would run for the Avielle Foundation on such short notice. Dan was onboard with his father’s plan and got straight to training. While some people take several months to train for an event as big as the Boston Marathon, Dan knows that his time is very limited. But he is working toward his goal with great effort. “I don’t know necessarily what kind of marathon shape I’m in. I think because what it’s for and the meaning behind it, that really helps. All I have to do is put one foot in front of the other,” explains Dan. With Jeremy and Avielle on his mind, Dan is doing such a wonderful thing to honor them. If you would like to learn more about this worthy cause, Dan has set up a CrowdRise campaign to raise funds for the Avielle Foundation. What a blessing he is to bring support and awareness to the wonderful work that the Avielle Foundation is doing!

Young Violinist Performs 'The Star Spangled Banner'

A young man stuns the crowd when he performs ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ on violin before before the Mississippi State Capitol. In 1814, Francis Scott Key penned the iconic song during The War Of 1812. British forces bombed Fort McHenry, but the U.S. proved victorious during the battle. The next morning, Francis Scott Key spotted the American flag flying over the fort and he was immediately inspired. In 1931, The United States Of America officially adopted ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ as our anthem. “O! say can you see by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming, Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there; O! say does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?” Today, John Uzodinma is getting his own chance to perform this patriotic tune and it’s absolutely stunning. This University Of Southern Mississippi graduate easily earned a standing ovation for his beautiful rendition. The National Anthem is never an easy song to sing or perform, but John showed no nerves as everyone around him saluted the flag. After one of the state representatives posted the video online, John’s performance went viral. In fact, it’s been video almost 6 million times across social media. That’s one patriotic display that no one will soon forget.

Judge Sobs As Son Facetimes Sick Mom During American Idol Audition

During a heartwarming American Idol audition, one contestant was able to Facetime his sick mother so she could watch him sing. It was a touching moment that brought many to tears, including one of the judges. Dimitrius Graham, a 27-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland, cannot speak more highly of his mother, Lorraine, when he is being interviewed before his audition. She was the one who supported him his whole life, put him through college, and has always encouraged him to keep up with his singing. “That’s my mom, that’s my best friend, that’s my rock, that’s my American idol,” Dimitrius sweetly says. Unfortunately, Lorraine is sick and is about to go into surgery. And Dimitrius is unable to be there with her in the hospital because he is in Los Angeles for his American Idol audition. Wanting to lift her spirits, he asks the judges if he can Facetime her so she can watch his audition. Katy Perry, one of the judges on American Idol, video calls Lorrain and shares an encouraging message with her. “We believe with you, for tomorrow, that you’ll be safe and protected and the angels are around you. And speaking of an angel, your son is about to sing for us, and we want you to be a part of this moment.” While Katy Perry is holding the phone so Lorraine can watch the audition, Dimitrius starts singing “Wind Beneath My Wings” by Bette Midler. “Did you ever know that you're my hero, And everything I would like to be? I can fly higher than an eagle, For you are the wind beneath my wings.” Immediately, Katy Perry starts crying as well as many other contestants sitting in the audience. It was such a sweet and tender moment to witness. Thank you God for the bond between a mother and her son!

Rescue Team Saves Exotic Bird Trapped In Sewer

This amazing rescue team worked tirelessly for days on end to save an exotic bird trapped in a sewer. After three days of being stuck, the bird was finally reunited with her owner. The initial rescue team was from Hope For Paws. They were called to save Millie, the African Grey parrot who had escaped from her owner’s house. Hope For Paws tried everything they could to get Millie out. Especially since she had already been stuck underground for 24 hours. They blew an airhorn to try to get her to fly out of the sewer, they put a hose down there to see if the water would make her move, they used the sound of a vacuum to try to scare her out – nothing worked! Millie just stayed frozen in fear down in the sewer. In order to get a better view of the bird, the team used cameras on remote control cars in order to see down into the narrow sewer. It was a relief to the owner to see that Millie was still alive after being stuck for so many hours. After failing to rescue Millie with their previous methods, Hope For Paws decided to hire a professional plumber to see if their services could help. Unfortunately, their methods also did not do the trick. Some volunteers decided to come help with the effort to rescue Millie, and they brought their remote-control cars to push the bird out. With the cars plus Millie’s owner encouraging her to walk toward him, the parrot was finally rescued! Shouts of celebration were heard by all those who were helping with the mission. What a wonderful animal rescue where so many people came together to work toward a common goal. And what a sweet sight to see that beautiful parrot finally reunited with her family after three long days!

Barbershop Quartet Performs 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'

Talented barbershop quartet, Trocadero, perform the classic song ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water.’ This iconic song was released in 1969 by the popular duo Simon & Garfunkel. Over the years, countless artists have lent their voices to this tune and it’s truly stood the test of time. It’s combination of difficult notes and poignant lyrics make it a one powerful number. “When you're weary, feeling small When tears are in your eyes, I'll dry them all (all) I'm on your side, oh, when times get rough And friends just can't be found Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down” Today, ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ is getting the barbershop treatment and it’s absolutely incredible. The four talented men of Trocadero perform this classic song live at the Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This performance was part of the 2014 Barbershop Harmony Society International Convention. This is one of those songs that always touch a special place in people’s hearts and when you hear it a cappella, it makes the words so much more impactful. “Oh, if you need a friend I'm sailing right behind Like a bridge over troubled water I will ease your mind” It’s extremely difficult to perform a song without any music, but Trocadero makes it almost seem easy. From the arrangement to the way all four of their voices combine together perfectly, this rendition of ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ is one you won’t forget.

60-Year-Old Surprises Judges With Yodel Audition On Ireland's Got Talent

60-year-old Johnny Quinn surprises the judges on Ireland’s Got Talent with his unique yodel audition. When this older man stepped on stage, everyone was a little bit apprehensive. When Johnny described himself as a country singer, I thought he was going to just sing a song. But when he started to yodel, everyone was taken for a loop. Johnny is a talented, country yodeler. In fact, he picked up the skill at a very young age and stuck with it. Johnny has been playing gigs since he was just a teenager and there’s no slowing this guy down anytime soon. About a year ago, he was watching an episode of Ireland’s Got Talent and decided to audition himself. He didn’t see any other country yodelers, so Johnny figured that he had a good niche. But when he finally reached the stage, emotions were at an all time high. Johnny spoke about the experience to The County Down Outlook. “The audience were unbelievable and were really interactive with me too. Going onto the stage I was the most nervous that I had ever been in my whole life. However, for some reason when I was handed the microphone a total calmness came over me and I just did my audition and got on with it.” As soon as he started to sing, the nerves washed away and his talent shined through. Johnny easily earned 4 ‘yes’ votes from the judges and he’s on his way to the next round. I wonder what this guy is going to do next!

Returning Soldier Surprises Deaf Brother

It was a heartwarming moment captured on camera when this returning soldier surprises deaf brother at school. It’s never easy when a loved one is serving in the military. But this is the reality that many families in our nation must deal with every single day. They are separated for their family member and must navigate the world without them for a time period. This means celebrating births, birthdays, holidays and more without them by your side. Even though we are all so proud of what these brave men and women are doing for our country, there is still a piece of our heart that aches for them to return home. This older brother has been away from the family serving in the military. But today, he is finally coming home and he decided to give his little brother the ultimate surprise. Just watch as he hides behind the door at his brother’s school. The young boy is deaf, so his teacher communicates through ASL to get the boy to come outside. As soon as the door closes, he realizes what is really happening. He leaps into big brother’s arms and they share the most touching reunion. You can just feel all of the excitement, love and joy. I know he must be so glad that his big brother is home and this was the sweetest homecoming reunion. We are so grateful for all of our military men and women and the sacrifices that they make each and every day. Praying for our troops.
